I have a TON more to come... but here are a few of my pics from our trip to Blythewood this past Sunday. I'd post more, but I just got home from my Monday night graduate class and only have a second to be a blogger before it is time to get prepared for tomorrow!!

Growing Up

One of perks of teaching is that I *sometimes* get to be at home before it is dark outside. (I say sometimes because the schedule that my field of education requires is not as good as most, AND most teachers I know stay at school well after their contract hours are over.) Today was one of those days. Grayson told me he wanted to go upstairs to play and I said, "How about outside?" He laughed and ran to the door. 

Grayster LOVES being outside. (As if you couldn't already tell.) 

I love that smile. I also love that you can look through most of my Grayster photos and see a little bit of Gordo in them. Grayster loves the Gordo. It's mutual. They are constantly kissing on each other. 

This child is my heart. I think about how I felt about him moments after he was born. I loved him... but I didn't LOVE him. Now, my mind constantly thinks about what we need to do to give him the best life possible. I feel so lucky to be his mama. :)

Love his smile... love his personality... just love him. 

On Religion in Schools

Tomorrow evening, my study group is presenting a chapter in our textbook to the class. This chapter is called "Constitutional Essentials" and includes some really important information about separation of church and state.

My favorite class in college was World Religions. I don't know... it was just fascinating to me. I think many people have a lack of respect for those who come from different religious backgrounds and that is one HUGE reason for the wars that the world seems to be constantly fighting.

I'm not sure how I feel about this, but I thought this was an interesting video that I plan to share with the class tomorrow evening:

Spring Break Wrap-Up

I have had a wonderful spring break. It has been rainy and cold, so we haven't spent much time outside, but it has been nice to not have to worry about work for a while.

Grayson has seemed to enjoy being at home, and I think he especially likes sleeping in every morning. He wakes up around 6:20 most workdays, but over spring break he has slept until 8:00 most days. I have found that I enjoy getting up a little later than usual, but having an hour or so to sit and drink my coffee before everyone else gets up!

My graduate class is GREAT! I'm really enjoying the other students in the class, and this first class (Ethics) is very interesting to me. I love being able to sit in a room with people who have reasons (that make sense) to back up their thinking. It is nice to be part of such a diverse group of smart people. It is cool to me to think that I could possibly be certified to be a principal two years from NOW!! Grayson will only be three and a half!
