Trip to PawPaw's House

We went to visit Jason's family today, and Grayson had an awesome time playing outside!! Maybe tomorrow, when I can keep my eyes open, I'll write more about today's visit. Until then, enjoy these sweet pics!

Bathtime Chaperone

I think Gordo really does believe that it is his job to parent Grayson. Here are two scenes from tonight's bath...

Making sure that everything is okay...

Aren't you supposed to be doing this job, Mom?!?!

Grayson the Model

Julie Jeffcoat needed a size 2T boy model today for a new shortall design that she has in stock. Grayson is almost a 2T so I signed him up for the challenge! He was not happy about being out in the cold for a couple of minutes without any shoes or socks, but look at how cute these pictures turned out!

You can check out Julie Jeffcoat's things on Facebook! Search for Julie Jeffcoat Gifts!

Day at the Park

Yesterday, Jason decided that Grayson could really use some fresh air and a chance to run to his heart's content. We hopped into the car and traveled over to City Hall to do just that. Look at all of these cute photos.

City Hall is BEAUTIFUL!

Run, run, run little guy!!

This was Grayson's face after he heard the clock tower sound, and you can tell that he fell down a bit before this!

Time to go home!

Something New

I'm seriously considering beginning the Master of Education in Administration and Supervision program at Southern Wesleyan University. Yep. How is that for something new! :)

This program is brand new to SWU. I currently have a Master of Education degree from the same school, and I really enjoyed that program when I went through it over 3 years ago.

The first cohort begins in less than a month (March 7th) and the program takes about 2 years to complete. The best part is that you only go to class one night a week (from 5-9 p.m.) and I can do all of the internships at my own school while I am teaching.

Because this would be my second Master's degree I will be on a new pay scale after completely the program because I will have earned my Master's plus 30 (unless the legislature changes this, and that is a distinct possibility). Obviously, the other big plus to this would be that I would also be certified to be an administrator!

The bad things about beginning the program... time, money, and the uncertainty of what the future holds for education in South Carolina. Hmm... I just don't know what to do.

Switch-A-Roos Loot

Kaci and I went to Switch-A-Roos last night to check out all of the deals they had! There were so many people there, it was a mad house! I can't even describe it except to say that it was wild...

Here are a few of my purchases:

Trying on his Easter outfit... it is reversible and has a sailboat on the other side. I think I'll find a shirt to put underneath this for Easter.

The cutest little Sperry's (and they are real!!) you've ever seen... I got these for $5.00!!

Another shirt that I bought, I should have posted this in color, but I really liked the B&W, and I didn't put this one in the group photo. :(
AND... Grayson playing with the toy I bought him...

Fun Times at Home

FUN times at home

Grayson LOVES cell phones. He'll have an entire conversation with an imaginary person all the way from "Hey" to "Bye"... Sometimes he just uses his hand or a cracker to serve as the imaginary phone. This is one of those times.

He is beginning to like finding out which shapes fit into the different slots! Grayson also likes wearing any necklaces he finds around the house! Haha!

What can I say... just a cute picture of a little boy sitting in his chair wearing his Mama's necklace.  I'm sure Jason will kill me for posting this...

Class in Photoshop

Last night I had my last photography class and we learned some basics in photoshop. Honestly, it was a little like learning how a magician does his tricks... I don't trust anything I see now. You see people who look skinny (or big) in magazines... there was probably some simple editing done to that photograph...

Just look what I did to Jason's eyes:

Fun Weekend

We had a really nice weekend. Here are some pictures from all of our fun!!
Sweet boy

Grayson makes this face ALL. THE. TIME.

This is seriously how Grayson looked when Jason brought him downstairs after they had been playing in his room for a while.... I just laughed and grabbed the camera.

Then Jason laughed about it too!

We went to Mom and Dad's house to watch the Super Bowl with them. I didn't take any pictures except for this one of Grayson and his Grandma. Love it!

Mike Huckabee on Art and Music In Schools

Oh, how I completely agree...

This just goes to show you that you don't have to be a Democrat to love music and art in our schools... :)

Now we just have to get our own governor to watch this.

One Real Thing and Two Cute Things

1. We have completely entered the whole separation anxiety stage. Apparently the "crisis" age is 12-18 months, so it makes perfect sense that our newly 17 month old would be experiencing this right now. It hurts my heart to see him cry and know that he is worried because he doesn't know when I am coming back. I want to tell him, "Grayson, I will ALWAYS come back... ALWAYS!.... You are my heart!".  Anyway, if anyone has advice as to how to make this stage easier and shorter I am ALL ears!

2. These squeezable veggies and fruit are awesome. Grayson took to them right away, and I can't wait to try to sneak in a little spinach without him knowing!

3. Grayson has discovered that his baby trampoline makes for a good reading spot. He loves to read, and especially likes his little books that have one picture per page because he can name what he sees (apple, ball, car, puppy, etc.) and his books with flaps that flip open to reveal a new picture (or a hidden Blue).

Gordo the National Geographic Cover Model

Seriously... this dog LOVES to pose for photos, and because he is my first child (even though technically a fur-child), I love taking his picture!!
