New Grayson Pictures!

This picture just really makes me laugh. I don't think he was actually mad... he just looks that way!

A picture from before Grayson decided that pears are actually okay to eat.

Just a Few Minutes More...

Today was a LONG day. It was fun, but long. Work ended at 7PM and I rushed over to my parents' house to pick up my sweet baby boy. He smiled and laughed when I picked him up and my heart melted just as it always does when I see him smile. Grayson fell asleep on the car ride home, and Jason and I let him sleep in his carseat while we had dinner. When he woke up, it was time to start our bedtime routine... he played in the bathtub, and then I put on his new diaper, lotion, and pajamas. He drank his bottle, burped and then closed his eyes while I sang "Twinkle, Twinkle"... Before I knew it, he had already fallen asleep.

And then.... because I missed him so much today, I held my little baby boy just a few minutes more.

Look Who Came to Visit Today!!

Pa Pa came to visit us today to help us change out our garbage disposal! Everyone was glad that he came to visit!!

As of right now, Grayson LOVES his jumper thingy... but he is only moderately good at jumping. It doesn't look like jumping is going to be his claim to fame. Oh well... at least he can make good crazy faces!

It almost seems likes last year....

Grayson has decided that 9:30PM is too late of a bedtime for him. Now he prefers 7PM. Just like that, Jason and I have evenings without baby Grayson. Last night we watched American Idol and I sat in my chair with just a dog in my lap!!! I miss my baby at night, but I'm glad he is getting his sleep!

We took a few pictures today...

Playing with his soft blocks

Then... I noticed Gordo thought it might be fun to play with a block.

This is usually how I find Grayson when I get home on days when he stays with his Daddy.

Four Months of Grayson

Grayson's 4 Month Check Up

It looks like we have a BIG baby!!!

Jason and I took baby Grayson to his pediatrician for his 4 month check up. This month his stats were:

Height- 26.75 inches- 95 percentile!!!
Weight- 17 pounds 3.6 ounces- 85th percentile!
Head- 65th percentile

He was so good!! I was nervous because we had to stay in the room with him when he got his shots... but he was such a big boy. He cried, but just for a few seconds... then he relaxed!! The nurse laughed when she gave him the oral vaccine... he hated the taste and kept coughing because it was so nasty! As soon as we put him in his carseat he fell asleep!

Also, we get to start feeding him now! (Don't tell the Doctor, but we started this a few days ago!) We start with rice cereal twice a day, then add fruits to the cereal. At 5 months we can go ahead and start adding vegetables, beginning with the yellow veggies first.

I'm going to add his 4 month photos as soon as he wakes up from his post-doctor's office nap and I can get him to pose for a few!

Grayson is a CUTIE!!!

New Year's Resolutions

This year, I have several New Year's Resolutions.

1. Lose 10 pounds
I gained about 3 pounds over the holidays. A ten pound weight loss would put me about the same size I was on my wedding day. I've never been super slim, but ten pounds lost will allow me to fit better in my clothes and be able to be closer to my ideal weight. I'm not picky about when I have to lose it by... after having a baby just four months ago I feel like I should be nice to my body!!

2. Save More Money!!
Jason and I have been GREAT with our money since we got married and combined all of our stuff! :) Now we have Grayson... and he is EXPENSIVE!!! Our budget is a lot tighter. I've got to learn how to shop the deals, not spend like I used to be able to do, etc.

3. Follow
I LOVE Flylady! The only problem is, every single time I start, I jump all in and get way overwhelmed quickly... I'm going to begin with her baby steps and work from there. My family and my house deserve it!!
