Halloween 2011

This was the first year that Jason and I really got to experience Halloween with Grayson. We had a wonderful time, and the night ended too, too quickly!

I had class tonight (the last class of my current course) so I HAD to attend. The professor had hinted that we were going to get out very early (between 6-6:30) but things were taking SO long. My mind was not in class mode, and all I could do was think about getting home to Grayson and Jason!

Anyway, I pulled into the driveway around 7:00 p.m. We quickly got Grayson dressed. He did NOT want to cooperate for pictures. I told him that we were going outside so in these first couple of photos he is just ready to go!!!

We decided to bring his little car so that he didn't have to walk the entire way. That was the best idea ever. :)

What is that white thing in his hand? Right as we were leaving he found the sleeve to one of his Blue's Clues DVDs. He insisted that he take it.

He was a little scared to go up to strange houses. At one house he walked up to the door, said "I'm scared, I'm scared" and then saw that the neighbors were wearing Gamecock shirts. Then he said, "Go COCKS!"

When we got home he inspected his goodies.

One of our neighbors bought him some puffs. We couldn't tell her that he hasn't eaten these since he was a little baby. It was so sweet of them to think of our Grayster!

Then he spied the Reese's Cup.

A little chocolate on your face can't hurt! :)

Very Hungry Caterpillar Story

Before I forget.... Grayson was so funny last night.

He wanted me to read The Very Hungry Caterpillar. I had only gotten through about a page when he held out his hand and said, "I read it." So, he began.

He flipped to the pages where the caterpillar begins to eat.

"Nonsense words, nonsense words, Still Hungee!"
"Nonsense words, nonsense words, Still Hungee!"

Then he turned to page where he eats all the junk food...

"A cake, cookie, chocate nilk, nother cake"

And then he decided to end on the last page.

"BUTTERFY!!!!!"

He closed the book and said, "That's a good book!"

This weekend, Jason and I traveled with his dad to Tallahassee, FL for the wedding of Jason's cousin Rob and his bride Jenna. It was an absolutely beautiful outdoor ceremony and we had a blast. Please enjoy the pictures!!

The wedding was in a cute little park thats centerpiece was a 500 year old tree. It was beautiful!!

Coloring

YAY!! I found my flash! I'm looking forward to using it this weekend... *hopefully* good pictures are soon to come!

Grayson loves to color... I picked him up from Stephanie yesterday and he ran to the door and said, "I'm colorin-in-ing!!" When I need to entertain him for an extended period of time, we go to the store, pick up a little notebook ("Handy Dandy Dandy Notebook") and a new pack of crayons. He'll be set for hours.

Fun Things

1. Birchbox

This costs $10 a month but you get all kinds of cool large size samples of high-end (or at least not Dollar General quality) beauty products. I have discovered several products that I absolutely love. Anyway, I look forward to this little box arriving in my mail once a month and I love using the products I receive.

2. Mommy Necklaces

I loved these when I discovered them (when Grayster was only 4 months old) and I STILL love them now. The girls who design these only get better... and I can sell my old ones for almost what I originally paid for them on eBay.

3. Lolly Wolly Doodle

Enough said. Click on this link at your own risk. :)

Doctor Grayson

By the way (as if you couldn't tell from the complete blurriness) I've misplaced my flash. I just may turn this house upside down to find it. I HAVE to have it this weekend!! Why can't I keep up with things like regular people??!?!

Band Field Picnic

On Sunday afternoons, I like to plan fun things to do with the little guy. We don't get to spend much time together during the fall (and even less time as a family of three), so I try to make the most of the time we do have.

Thursday, Mom and Grandma dropped Grayson off at the band field after they picked him up from Miss Stephanie's house. Grayson LOVED running around the field. We stayed there for 30 minutes after practice and he would have loved to stay even longer.

So, when mom suggested that I just let him run around the field on Sunday afternoon... I thought, "Wow... good idea!"

We stopped at Hardees and picked up some chicken tenders and fries to share. When we got to the field we ate lunch and then I let him run, run, run. He ran for a full hour. He has WAY more energy than I do!!

Copying Pumpkin Faces

I put out our *plastic* pumpkin this evening and Grayson was totally amazed.

I kinda love this picture because you can see his little bruise on his forehead. I thought about editing it out but I decided that it is totally him. He fell the other day and hurt his head... you can definitely tell that he is a rough-and-tumble little boy!!

Cute Boy

The band traveled to Jacksonville, AL this weekend.

We arrived back at school this morning at 6:00 a.m. I helped the students put their  uniforms back in the uniform room and then waited for everyone to get picked up. On the way home I stopped at Bojangles and got some biscuits for the boys for breakfast.

When I finally hit the bed it was 7:00 a.m. I have slept for most of the day. I put Grayson in some pajama pants in hopes that he would be more comfy for his afternoon nap. When he woke up, he wanted to go outside, and Jason and I saw no point in changing his pants.

Anyway... here are some photos of our boy. He is growing and changing every single day. We couldn't be more proud of the little boy he is becoming!
